Q: If my keys are lost or stolen do I have to get new locks?
A: No, I can dismantle the lock for you and change the codes inside to fit a new key and the old key won't work anymore. This saves money and protects you.
Q: I have a key marked "Do Not Duplicate" but I need another; can I get a copy?
A: Keys marked "Do Not Duplicate," "Do Not Copy" and "Unlawful to Copy" may be duplicated if a letter of authorization from an owner or supervisor, on company letterhead, is presented with the request, identifying the key, number of copies and the person picking them up, who will sign for the keys.
Q: Can I get a system that gives me control of unauthorized key duplication?
A: Sure. Valley Locksmith carries restricted keys marked "Do Not Duplicate," that require authorization and cannot be copied at the hardware store.
Q: Can you copy my regular keys?
A: Yes. As a mobile technician I can cut most keys right at your site.
Q: Do locksmiths have a "master" key that fits all locks?
A. No. This is a common myth. A "master" key is able to open only the locks which have been set up to accept it.
Q: What should I do about security if I move?
A: I can rekey existing locks or install more secure locks for any change in home or business. You never know who may have keys to the old locks. I supply a variety of hardware for both residential and commercial uses.
Q: Do you sell padlocks?
A: A variety of different padlocks are available in different sizes and shackle lengths to meet all your needs.
Q: Can I get a free estimate?
A: I am happy to provide free evaluations and estimates for both commercial and residential clients.
Q: How quickly can you get to me if I am locked out?
A: Within a half-hour, often faster. Keep Valley Locksmith on your speed dial or cell phone for convenience.
Q: Is it cheaper for me to supply the locks?
A. No. Buying a lock in a shop based on price usually means poor quality although it may look nice on the outside. Chances are it's insecure or the wrong type, not able to be fitted, and then there's the hassle of trying to return it.
Q: Why should I use a professional locksmith?
A. As a professional locksmith I have the skills and training in lock, safe and security work and I have the experience to solve the security issues unique to your particular situation. I belong to an approved professional security organization and adhere to a strict code of ethics to protect your security information. I am also bonded and insured.
